The parliament in Ethiopia will approve a law shielding the liberalisation of the state controlled telecommunication sector.
In April 2008, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed pledged economic reforms in various sectors including the telecommunication which is primarily state controlled.
Parliament’s communication director said that the Parliament will on Monday discuss comments made on the draft telecom law by standing committees of Human Resource and Technology, including Trade and Industry, afterwards the proclamation will be approved.
